Much enthusiasm has been shown among the medical community and scientific societies regarding the use of hydroxychloroquine for the management of COVID-19. In fact, many hospitals are already using this treatment in hospitalized and even outpatient patients on the basis of some hospital protocols, preliminary guidelines that propose considering its possible use and, particularly, a small uncontrolled study of methodological quality.
